Why this Mother is Excited for VBS and Good News Clubs !

Vacation Bible School/Good News Club

A vacation for the kids? Yes!!

A vacation for mom and dad? Absolutely!!!

But as I have come to see, through Good News Club and VBS, it has become so much more! Our youngest daughters…ages 10, 8 and 4 , are thoroughly enjoying their time. They are interacting with other children they may not normally see in regular school setting. They are becoming more involved, participating in the bible stories and songs. Even our 4 yr old, who has a diagnosed speech impairment, raises her hand every chance she gets to be involved. She has memorized bible verses that she has been taught, and sings along to every song!!

And even greater than all this, they are learning…they are absorbing Gods word and teachings. And they are bringing it home to share with us and their older siblings. They are sharing the good news with their friends. And they are genuinely enjoying it! From learning new songs, bible verses and Miss Beth's amazing stories, they are honestly coming out of these clubs with more knowledge of the bible, more compassion and understanding.

This change cannot only be seen in my children, but others as well. These children are being given an opportunity to learn about God, to start a relationship with him, and to grow in his word. A lot of these children unfortunately would not have this opportunity had it not been for the Good News Clubs, 5 Day club, or VBS
