The Authentic Christian Life

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men . It teaches us to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and live self controlled ...lives in this present age." Titus 2:11-12

The authentic Christian Life seems to be the message of the day. Beth and I are blessed to be speaking in many different churches and many different denominations. We are always amazed the pastors have all tuned into the same message - God is orchestrating the same message through out His church. Fun to watch.

The concern from the pulpit is how many "christians" may have fooled themselves to believing they are saved. The concern seems to be that there is no turning from sin and even a desire to do so. The pastors speak about the fact that many believe they are saved but their lives do not reflect this "relationship" There are many who show no remorse for sin or desire to live self controlled lives. We all have areas of sin in our lives; the difference is sin pains the heart of a true Christian.

Charles Swindol chimed in last night as we tuned into his message on the car radio. He said, You and I never want to hear the words at the end of time spoken by God Himself, Depart from me I never knew you. Some pastors spoke about the great falling away as those who fit this criteria. - We must all look at or lives and see they match the TRUTH of God's Word
