We Must All Meet God

Today I was thinking about the death, terror and reign of Fidel Castro. I couldn’ t help imagine his face upon his entry into eternity. How his arrogance was met with total distain.

The prophet Amos in the Bible cries out,” Prepare to meet thy God” Amos 12 Every man women and child today in the past and the future will meet God. The wealthy, the poor, the beggar on the street. The scholar and the illiterate. The President, King or dictator, the movie star, the rockstar, the rappers, Pastor, business leader- everyone must meet God.

The question for each of us is are you ready to meet God.. none of us know the day, hour or minute we will meet Him but we will.

I am sure Castro who killed and tormented so many and spoke the lie there is no God, is now very surprised and is facing eternal torment face to face. But so are so many others that have denied the existence of God.

As we approach the Birth of His precious Son Jesus (God in human skin) this Christmas, lets be sure we are ready to meet Almighty God. Evangelist RA Torrey says, “Some of us will meet Him within the next twenty four hours, more within the year, many more within 5 years; and within 40 years, almost every man women now 45 years old will meet God." Are you ready? If not I forcefully encourage you to get ready.

My Friends let me make this as clear as I possibly can – There is a God – He is a good God – John 3:16 says –(read this slowly and really think about what is being said.) For God so loved the world, (that is everyone ) that He gave His one and only (one) son (Jesus) that who ever ( that means you and me) believes in Him shall not perish (eternally be separated from God in Hell ) but instead have eternal life with God. Think about that – all is required is repentance of sins and belief that Jesus died on the cross. He gave His precious blood for our sins. (God showed His love for us by pardoning our sins.) He was buried and then on the third day He arose from the grave (he conquered death) and He is reigning at the right hand of God, preparing to return soon to take the living and the dead home to heaven.

For those who have put your trust in Christ – will we be found wanting?.. we have been given the gift of salvation but for what reason? Will we hear those precious words of God - “well done thou good and faithful servant…” Because of Gods love for us and the gift of salvation we Praise, obey and serve Him. Never want to stand before a loving God with the words, Oh! If I only had; oh if only I had! Had what? Obeyed God.

There are only two events in the future that are absolutely certain. First of all, it is absolutely certain that Jesus Christ is coming again to receive His people unto himself, and to reward them according to their works: and second Jesus Christ is coming to judge the world.
