Going Out On A Limb…Risk
If you want to grow anything, whether it be a business, relationship, or ministry – it will take leadership and leaders who will not play it safe. So many today want more but refuse to take any risk.
As you look around you today ask yourself, what are you risking as you complain about your lot in life or your lack of success? Are you afraid to try? Are you afraid you will lose? So why try? All those who put it all on the line do not succeed immediately, in fact many do not succeed over night but try again and do.
There is great opportunities all around us …yes it will take hard work and maybe even very long hours. Yes, it will take persistence and a willingness to reinvent yourself. It will take a never quit attitude.
Most of all it will take D+B=E x E
Desire or “blue flame” passion plus Belief equals Enthusiasm which will multiply your Exposures / Connections
Desire: What is it you want? – What is your dream? How Big are willing to Think? What cause is worthy of your time. What lights your fire? How much of your time is spent thinking and meditating on this desire. If it is not prominent on your mind it probably is not a dream or desire strong enough to move you.
Belief: God has given you the vision. Belief comes in three forms; first of all belief in the power of God. Second belief in yourself – That you are truly capable and that you were created in the image of God. You are gifted and much more talented than you give yourself credit for.
Enthusiasm: Nothing is more powerful to move the soul than enthusiasm - it draws people and and does something to the human psyche. I love the elixir of enthusiasm and passion – POWERFUL!
Exposures: Because of the enthusiastic spirit one has the doors open for new exposures, contacts and connections.
Risk and reward is the part of the success equation of life. The risk of holding back and doing nothing, and missing out separates you from the reward.
“ Only those who are willing to risk going to far can possibly find out how far one can go.” T.S.
“ If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.” Jim Rohn
