Diligence (For The Kids)

Diligence

There are some very interesting scriptures in Gods economy and prescription for success.

One of those is Psalms 127:2 “In vain you rise early come home late, and work so hard for food. Yes He can provide for those whom He loves even when they sleep!” The Lord is who we place our trust in.

“Be still and know I am God” Psalm 46:10. Never let the noise of the world block the truth of God’s Word. If you love the Lord with your all heart and with all your soul and with all your mind pleasing God will become a by-product. James reminds us “ faith without works is dead.” James 2:17 We must not just talk the talk we must walk the walk.

We are told over and over in the scriptures that we are to be diligent. “The work of the diligent lead surely to advantage. But everyone who is hasty comes to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5 “In all labor there is profit. But mere talk leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23

For most this word means hard work – and that is only a small part of what that means. Solomon the wisest said, “what ever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:10 “And whatever you do, do heartily, as for the Lord rather than men.” Colossians 3:23

Diligence is inclusive of the following traits: punctuality, self education and a willingness to re-invent oneself, self motivation, responsible, and enthusiastic. Just to name a few.

How serious are you and I about the tasks and the opportunities God has placed before us in 2017? How obedient are we to the call God has placed on our lives? When God places a call on your life, what will you do? Diligent living means setting goals moving toward them daily. You will be fulfilled and satisfied. Hard work will build character. The "doing” becomes less important as the “being” is developed.

Lets face the challenges and walk through every door God has opened for us in 2017. God may be preparing you and I for greater responsibilities. “Whatever you do, do it with all your heart.” Colossians 3:23
