God Is Sovereign Over Everything In Our Lives

God is sovereign over everything in our lives. Nothing is random or meaningless when we belong to Him. A thrill came over us as we arrived in Mexico for a week of teaching at the Mexico Children's Ministry Institute. God had us on yet another wonderful excellent adventure. I
t was hot, dusty, and dry; temperatures hit triple digits. We had days where there was no water for showers and no electricity to run the fan in our room. So why was it so wonderful... we got to see and hear God at work in lives of 23 young people from all parts of Mexico. It was fun to hear how some had come from a farming village or from the sea shore fishing village. They had sacrificed greatly; some traveling 3 days by bus, others riding their horse out of the jungle communities. All with a desire to learn everything they could to go back to their communities as full time missionaries with Child Evangelism Fellowship. They had all been called by God to attend a 3 month Institute. Their goal was to be better equipped to reach the children of Latin America with the truth and saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior. Beth and I were both honored and privileged to be ask to teach the course on raising missionary prayer and financial support. CEF has no funds for missionaries like us or them. We helped train them. Classes started everyday at 8:00 A.M. We taught them to "ask God and tell His people." We prayed and encouraged them to see how Big God is and how He provides. They listened and understood. By the time the week was over they had; 1. Created their first prayer letter. 2. Designed and printed their first prayer card. 3. Made up a professional presentation flip chart for a personal presentation. 4. They had made real phone calls to book appointments 5. They had practiced their ministry presentation 6. And much more. We have enjoyed staying in touch with the students through Facebook and bbexcellentadventure.com, our new active website. It has been a blessing to read of their victories as God prepares His missionaries for full time service. It truly is a joy watching them raise their prayer and support team. Here is a translation of a recent graduate we were honored to teach, "God bless you, I am so happy and thankful with the ensenfiensennanzas (teaching) I received from you. I tell them that they have already borne fruit. Thanks to the Lord God. He opened the doors of two churches that already are going to be a part of team sustenance and two brothers. I am also happy and grateful for this victory the honor and glory be to God." Can't wait to see how many children's lives will be impacted. Can you imagine ...More children for Christ? Ministry is a blast!
