Choices And Disciplines That Make All The Difference

Choices And Disciplines That Make All The Difference Will I do this or that? Our choices in lives have deep ramifications, often not just on us personally. The choices spill over into other lives and theirs into ours. Even the smallest decisions or choices can make ripples into waves of our lives. The decision and choice to marry the beautiful person I was blessed to marry was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The decision and choice to stay married. The tests In school I did not study for. The decision and choice to go into business and become an entrepreneur. The decision accomplish history making goals. The desire to trust God and believe His Word. The list can go on and on. With choices and more choices - some very good, some very bad. The fact is life is all these choices added up and lived out. Always remember the devil is a liar and sin will always cost you more than you think it will. The choices you make today will be the story of your life. Beth has always encouraged me as I lament an action of my children or grandchildren. She reminds me with these words ..." Bill they are working on their testimony." Most people who made a decision to try alcohol or smoke a joint never thought the one drink would lead them to addiction. The man who chooses to have an affair never thought it would start with a little choice. People today are finding out the decision and choice to divorce is definitely not an easy solution. Most people who are bankrupt never thought that the choice to spend more than they were making would catch up with them. The good news is you can start over today and start making wise decisions and choices and change your life. There are choices that also are positive, and that is what I chose to concentrate on. The primary decision that will change and set you up for the greatest success in life is a decision to establish a personal friendship and relation with God's Son, Jesus. That decision will change your life not only here on earth, but also for eternity. I have noticed that so many people think a successful life is made by making the BIG decisions, but I beg to differ; it usually the little decisions over and over. For some they think starting a business, joining a ministry, moving to new city or writing a book are the decisions that make the BIG difference.. They do, but not nearly as much as the cumulative smaller decisions. Each decision or choice you make no matter how small has a huge impact and teaches a new discipline. An undisciplined life leads to choices that do not lead to progressive or successful life. There is no better time than now to make the right choices, BIG or small. How do we know the choices we make are good ones? It starts with a foundation of absolute TRUTH. The only absolute truth is truth from God Himself - the Bible (think about that! God Himself left us His wisdom to follow and some have made a choice to think it is nothing but fantasy and fiction)! Wisdom is what is the focal point, it is the difference between a good decision and the landslide of disaster. The song, Just a closer walk with God, points out vividly walking with God. He will guard your your steps and direct your path. Our funerals are coming, and the choices we make today will determine where and with whom we will spend eternity with. That is a choice I hope we all get right because there is no starting over. Upon death your decision has been made with no turning back - it will be Heaven or Hell. The challenge to you is to seek to make that important choice now ...read the book of John today! Do it today; tomorrow is promised to no one!
