As we continue to serve the Lord in the Caribbean and North America, we have been struck by the fact that there are so many churches and so many that call themselves Christian, yet the society and neighborhoods of many of the communities is fraught with people living in fear. The murder rate and thefts that occur daily. Everywhere you go, doors are locked with 2 or three locks. The warnings of where to go and not go in these communities is dictated by locals. What has happened? Maybe many churches have been too much about themselves and the false doctrine of religion versus a personal relationship with Jesus being the emphasis. Obedience has always been at the top of Gods list for all of us. The desire of God for all of us is 1. Love Him with all our heart, soul and mind. 2. Love your neighbor. 3. Do by telling others ...Go!! There is a solution but it involves a giving attitude. So much of what church has become is; "what am I getting from this? What can I learn or experience today?

The rest of the week is: Without Christ our week would be Sinday, Mournday, Tearsday, Wasteday, Thirstday, Fightday, and Shatterday. 7 days without God makes one weak! The question is; how many sermons and how many Bible studies will be enough before you and I are ready to tell someone else about our Lord and Savior, or give of your resources to those who are doing just that? How long do you need to be incubated before you are ready to be "hatched". How long will you and I shake our heads in disgust of the attacks on Our Lord and the culture around us? How long will we continue to allow Satan to devour our children? We know from the research that most people accept Christ before their 15th Birthday. We need to ask God to reveal to each of us the needs of our children Spiritually. We often can relate to their physical, emotional and mental needs, but the most serious need is their spiritual need. In our confused world they need a strong foundation. They need purpose and character, but most importantly they need SALVATION from sins and the Holy Spirit living in them and guiding their lives. Children today are facing pressures unlike any we experienced as children. All happening while many in the church today watch as another group have a birthday and move on toward adulthood where they hardened to the things of God. And we see yet another generation take a leading role without God. Then we stand back with wonder as we watch the horrific and painful things such as murder, drugs, and pornography grip the next generation. I can't tell you how much pain this is for the families of these children who have now grown up. It is important to remember they are being confronted with "conflicting evidence" everyday in schools, and through other outlets the devil himself has opened to them. What is right is wrong and what is wrong is right. This is why it is so important to teach children that Gods Word is the ultimate Truth. Children who learn just this fact and know it to be true will always have a firm foundation and the security and peace that other adults will not. They will also have the proper rebuttal to mans way and mans wisdom. Boys and girls, just like an adult, need an opportunity to respond to call of God on their lives. The same Holy Spirit that worked in your heart to say yes to Jesus works in their hearts. The cry I hear from the hearts in distress across the nations of the world is... "we forgot our children and now we are reaping the results of a godless generation." I am praying for you as parents and churches to never let this happen to your children and to your communities. Now is the time to reach our children. As an investment in the kingdom, nothing pays higher eternal dividends than evangelical ministries to boys and girls!!
