God At Work In Belize!

The schools have teachers who are Christian, nominal as well minimal. They also have hired teachers who do not know Jesus at all. Even the so called “Christian” and church related schools are staffed that way So as a pastor shared today, the children may be in privately owned schools, but because of the lack of Christian teachers, they are not being impacted with the truth, especially the most important truth of the gospel. Devotion times are often being taught by non believers. The schools are often staffed by the government. That is why it is so important that the children, even in the “Christian church related" schools have Good News Clubs and hear the gospel unto salvation. The pastor we met with today is so excited and sees the Importance of what we are doing and sees this as the answer for his school and church. He has been struggling with the Church and school relationship and this year has committed to doing something about it. Good News Club training and especially teaching the Christian staff how to properly lead a child to Christ he feels will make a distinct difference, and we know it will. Praise God! He is going to have us speak to the teachers in the school next week. He wants us to encourage them all to get the world renown teaching of Child Evangelism Fellowship, as well as speak to his church body. God is moving... this is a very rough and tough area of Belmopan. In fact just last night, another 2 people were shot and one died. A total of 4 killed in just the last 2 days. The door here is wide open ... now praying the churches will arise.
