What Happened To Logic?

The Problem I have been reading some of the illogical comments on my Facebook page. Critical thinking seems to be only an afterthought as many today cannot give a logical response to a question. This is alarming. The response usually instead is just a vulgar attack or talking points that they seem to regurgitate over and over. When it comes to morality and cultural views, especially when viewed Biblically, the logic is often replaced with a profanity rant. The question "What has happened to logical thinking ,and why has it been replaced with group speak" has had me on a quest for Truth. Two verses in God’s Word show how a disapproving God deals with a society that degenerates into evil. 1. Romans 1:28 -31. “Wherefore God gave them up to uncleanness through the list of their own hearts...”. 2. Psalm 81:12 “So I gave them up unto their own hearts, and they walked in their own counsel.” When we as a nation no longer render sound moral judgement, we are headed toward a critical crossroad. As we choose to move away from God as a people, the things of God become foreign and distant - we become a self absorbed breed. We need righteous living to protect us from the wrath of God. God is our protector and our provider - America has been blessed. If we as a nation suppress truth and turn from the righteous logic, we cannot expect anything but change, and not a good change at that. God gave them up to degrading passions and depraved minds to do things that are not proper. It is not the will of our Heavenly Father to send anyone to hell, but He May just allow you to dig your own grave or suffer your own consequences in bondage rather than freedom. Common sense, logic and common restraint have taken a back seat to lies and a "convince yourself attitude". As soon as you no longer acknowledge God, you fill the vacuum with evil and lack of justice. You may think you are equal to God, but God is God. God is merciful to a point and then Wham! Boom! Bang! You either return to the foot of the cross, or face the consequences of your “wisdom”. But one thing is for sure; one day and maybe very soon every knee will bow to Jesus. Logical thinking is defined as "the process in which one uses reasoning consistently to come to a conclusion. Problems or situations that involve logical thinking call for structure , for relationships between facts, and chains of reasoning.” One of the issues I see today in discussion is a lack of reasoning and no ability to communicate the why for the opposing position. The inability to explain rationale or justification for an opinion is characterized by no clear thinking skills. Critical and logical thinking helps us to judge well - but only if you start with foundational absolute Truth. So many today, if confronted, lack the ability to explain their positions. I know because I have tried to get their explanations of the positions, but instead their replies become vitriol and often vulgar - all with personal destruction at the forefront of their thought. The rationality of our country is at stake. Too many people are being taken advantage of because of their lack of thinking. The next generation is being raised without these skills and many are lemmings jumping off the cliff together. The Solution We need to preach and teach God’s word everywhere we can. We especially need to intentionally reach the next generation for Christ, disciple them and establish them and their families in the local Bible believing churches. We must teach them to love and honor the Words of our Savior and Lord. Build a foundation of Truth into their lives so they can logically use The Biblical Truths to defend their positions in the world of insanity and depraved minds. We must do it now. Let’s reach the lost!! Let’s identify every gift God has given to each of us and let’s use these gifts across the world for His glory. Whether it is accounting skills, teaching skills. artistic skills, athletic skills, singing skills, organizing skills, speaking skills, people skills, hospitality skills, building skills, giving skills, boardroom skills, technology skills, photography skills, selling skills, labor skills, medical / nursing skills ...or any other you can think of! Get involved with a local church or mission organization and watch God move mightily in your life as as others. Check out CEFonline.com or bbexcellentadventure.com.
