A Leadership Summit has the potential to grow your organization. This is the time to reforge and pour the vision into the hearts of the leaders, and also a time for your leaders to trickle belief into the hearts of those just getting know and question the organization. This is also a good time to invite a guest speaker to reinforce what you, the leader, have been saying. This is a moment for the speaker to impart a fresh perspective and team building ideas. Hangout with the leaders and save time to just be together. Strategically make all your time count. Free time is very important for those who are attending to seriously reflect on what they are learning, and also to make the event become more than an event but instead an experience. Feed the guests a nice meal, and make sure whatever audio and visual you decide to use is top of the line. Strive to make the time spent reflect excellence in all areas. Your goal should be that people will leave any function you have saying, "Wow, that was the best.” Infuse the vision, the DNA and culture all in one successful, fun function. Make sure you don’t fail to recognize and award success. When you present an award in front of a group of peers, it helps confirm their value of the organization. Most organizations reward outstanding performance. An organization that creates an environment that motivates and rewards is the most fruitful. The fact is, it will attract great talent the more personal the recognition is. Always remember the saying, “Recognition; baby’s cry for it and men die for it.” It is a very important component of success . Finally, have a well designed event ready to present. This is how you build the needed people to expand on the dream. Remember Vogel's law ...you never, never, never, never, never leave a meeting without setting another meeting. It is my belief that you build an organization which expands the influence of the ministry or business by building new leaders and from meeting to meeting. The number of people attending is a good measure of growth and the intensity of spirit in the growth of the mission. If you continue to have the same numbers attend or less, you are not growing volunteers and or leaders. Inversely, if you continue to grow the numbers are indicative of growth. Here is a limited list of things think about when preparing for meeting, convention..leadership or otherwise: Pray and ask God to be The Head Of the meeting and to direct your path. Set goals and think about a target message or theme Determine your speakers by what you want to share and teach Prepare the AV and the program.Do it the best! Pay for quality! Communicate and promote, promote and promote Prepare the package and the details to promote the next meeting or conference Think through your free time - off sight as well as on site. Recognize and determine your rewards ..don’t skimp Think Excellence and First Class in everything you do. Remember we represent the King of Kings. Thank God, Celebrate and within 24 hrs. Evaluate
