Good News Clubs...On The Playgrounds?!

With the new school year in full swing here in Arizona, it takes our family a few solid weeks to adjust to the daily grind of early bedtimes, early mornings, signing parent notes, and the dreaded H word; homework! But with the new school year comes a lot of exciting things as well; new teachers, new friends, new clothes to wear, and for my kids, especially our 7 year old, The Good News Club!

I know what you're thinking; we're Vogel's.... it's in their DNA right?! Although there is no scientific proof to that theory, I will say this; our Kelly Grace Loves our Lord, Loves her family, and Loves her Good News Club! So much so in fact, that she was spreading her Good News Club lessons all around the playground at recess last year, to anyone that would listen. She would pray for and with her friends when they were hurt, sad, or just having a bad day.

And as I found out today, this year will be no exception! Our Good News Clubs don't start until mid September at school, officially, but Kelly Grace has already started meeting with her friends at recess this week, to share the Good News! So far, she has 3 friends in her club, one of whom she says doesn't know much about God yet, but she is teaching her all she knows!

Which is why this ministry is so important!!! I cannot express how it feels, as a mother, to know that my daughter is doing good and spreading the love of Christ whenever and wherever she can! That she is praying with her friends, just as she prays with me daily!

So to all that are following along on Bill and Beth's Excellent Adventure, continue to pray for them and for their ministry. Pray for our local churches, who support these clubs. Pray for all of their amazing volunteers, who plan lessons every week, and always come with a cheerful heart, to share with the kids of our local schools! And finally, continue to pray for the children, whose lives are being filled with the word of God!
