Who Does God Think You Are?

Identity is one of the biggest issues that must be confronted today. It will either strengthen or weaken the church. It will either strengthen or weaken a country. The best tool in the devils tool box to bring chaos and confusion into your life, is identifying with the wrong foundational truths of life. You must admit with me the world is confused, the church today is confused, and many mission organizations are confused. Christians, don’t let the world define you! See the world through the eyes of God. Look at these verses and underline them in your Bible. These 10 points should make you both excited and humbled at the same time. 1. A New Creation - In Christ: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new Creation, the old has past away, and see, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) Went through a change, dead to life We now have the mind of Christ. Most people are dead. The children without Christ are walking dead. . 2. A Child Of God “But to all who did receive Him he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name." (1 John 1:12) Instant access to the Father, the creator of all, the one who knows all things. Protection Genuine care Promise keeper Never leave or forsake us. We can totally rely on Him. 3. Friend of Jesus “I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what His master is doing. I have called you friends because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father." (John 15:15) Relationship Count on 3. Fellow Heir with Christ “We are Gods children and if children heirs – heirs of God and co heirs with Christ – if indeed we suffered with Him so that we may be glorified with Him.” (Romans 8:17)

Inheritance Holy Spirit Blessings for being apart of Gods family Peace Joy love patience kindness goodness faithfulness Heaven Mind of Christ Discernment Wisdom Contentment Comfort Hope

4. More than Conquerors “Know in all things we are conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Rom 8:37) Over comers Winners – victorious Champions and trophies of Gods grace. Ultimately successful – you may be the poorest on earth, but will riches on all as we see Jesus in Heaven. Conquer death because of His death. Conquer sin and say no to the whiles of the devil. 5. Made alive In Christ “But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You were saved by grace.” (Ephesians 2-4-5) Nothing we deserved – gift from God Himself. Took the place and became our advocate and mediator for our sinful lives. He paid the price and all your sins and worlds sins were placed on Him. We share in the resurrection. A duty, a purpose to bring glory to Him. We have a opportunity grow to be like Him as He changes us. 6. A Child of Light “For you once were in darkness but now you are light in the Lord . Live as children of light. (Ephesians 5) Light always overcomes darkness. It reveals sin, shines on brings life into focus. It illuminates Christ and helps people to see Him. It brings comfort darkness in uncomfortable.

7. A citizen of Heaven “But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 3:20 8. Sealed with His Holy Spirit “In Him you also were sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and you believed." (Ephesians 1:13) 9. An Ambassador for Christ “Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: be reconciled to God.” 10. God’s Workmanship “For we are His Workmanship Created In Christ Jesus for good works which God has prepared ahead of time for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) As believers, these are Characteristics of the Christian life. And we are in the process of becoming more Christ-like every day. Live your life celebrating the grace of God every day.
