Followup is one of the keys to anyone's success in any field. Making an impression strong enough that the original contact remembers your name.. Involves your hand shake, your smile, and your comments. ( Best are encouragement and positive responses. Your energy and passion should already begin to stand out.) Always leave with a name and an "assumption" that you want to get together at a later date. Waste no time re-contacting! Best time to re connect is within 12-24 hrs. If you can respond earlier through an advance e-mail, do so. (E-mail is a great tool to remind the person of your previous connecting points!) Be sure to start a data base and as often as you can, drop a short reminder of what is happening in your life or just a quick note of encouragement. Make these people a part of your life!! These are Devine appointments that God placed in your path of life. Remember, any verbal "commitments" you have made you must follow through. Always focus on what you can do for them ...Ask God to give you a true servants heart. As you walk through your day and you come across an article or a defining post on Facebook, send it to the party you have contacted .. Look again for encouraging, positive and relevant things to share. Key things to keep in mind as you reach out to those around you.
