How To Lead Through Change With Focus

How to Lead Through Change with Focus Change will always be happening around us. Distractions and setbacks are everywhere and in everyday life experiences. Navigating a business, church, country or mission through change or in changes that are happening outside its direct control is a challenge. As quickly as information and knowledge becomes irrelevant is unprecedented in history. It is said " that we create as much new information in two days now as we did from the dawn of civilization to the year 2003." Interesting to note it is mostly user generated content, like instant messaging and social media. The Bible has a very interesting prophecy concerning the last days that dove tails with this. It says, in the last days many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase. Read Daniel 12:4 The knowledge of God and his Word is also increasing. Read Proverbs 1:23. I heard a quote that has stuck with me all my life..and it has caused me to always balance more information ( which I would certainly agree is important) with focus/ attention. This is the statement" A wealth of information can create a poverty of attention." Active listening is so important today. Listen first to God. The Bible is clear; it says be still and know that I am God. Listen, you need times to reflect ,renew and recharge. Increase your network for more opinion and more verifiable knowledge and truth. There is no doubt that the work of modern day leadership is more complicated today. Culture, politics, and plain civility are creating issues in leadership today. It is important to recognize inspiring others, leading a team, guiding change and managing politics are now major issues in leadership. The key to not getting sidetracked by all these "expertanoues" issues is FOCUS. Clear focus comes from knowing what is most important and choosing to focus on that first. Not everything can be ignored but much can be dealt with later. What is important for growth and creating should always come first. Never confuse activity with results or accomplishment. Learn to look at challenges with the right perspective. Focus your life on Gods ways and then go out and do what you have been called to do. Just do it! Is a great slogan for us to follow ..
