Were You Born For Another World?

I leaned back and dropped off into another world as I watched another world whiz across the screen. Futuristic vehicles capable of speeds and turns that to my knowledge, the physics and structural engineering have yet to be proven possible to achieve such fetes. People capable of transforming into mighty beings, capable of becoming everything from disappearing and reappearing beings to people morphing into spiders and bats. These are super heroes of today. They save the day and the world from the likes of steam and smoke that is laced with gunfire from lasers and never seen before weaponry capable of amazing harm, able to tear down and destroy and rebuild complete cities. The surround sound adds to the reality of this other world environment where these adventures take place. These movies usually take place on planets we have never seen but only imagined. After leaving the theater, I was struck by how many movies have this basic theme. I counted at least five of the up and coming movies from Hollywood will have some twist around this common theme. It made me ask a question. Why ? Were you and I born for another world? Is life but just a start on a journey to another world? A world which is eternal. Is this world just a stopping off place along the way? Is your journey going to be short because of a sudden interruption or will your journey be long? Is your journey shaping and molding you into who you will be in another world? We will all leave this world. We will all enter into the presence of God. From there all humanity will go one of two directions. We will all go to another world. It will be your choice while here. You can choose HEAVEN or Hell. God has placed in every heart born a sense of eternity, a sense of something beyond. Think about this; your eternal life in another world started the day you were born. The question for you and I is what choice? Eternity with God Almighty in heaven or eternity with the god of this world, Satan and his demons? We are told It is wise to plan ahead so we have no regrets tommorrow. What's your plan? Today you can make that choice, and change your passport to heaven to be with God in heaven ..He is the true Super Hero who has prepared a place for those who believe in Him. Talk about a "movie set"!! The Bible says, "Eyes have not seen nor ears heard the wonders God has created for those that love Him." This new world needs no sun because the glory God shines so bright. This new world has no pain no sorrow. This new world is full of joy and happiness. Foods of plenty like we have never seen. Bodies and Spirits with unlimited capabilities. Heaven has no time just forever. But it is sad to say the Bible also talks about another world that is dark and terrible beyond description. The great evangelist, Johnathan Edwards, preached a historical sermon July 8, 1741. Let me quote just a part of the famous sermon entitled, Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God. "The wrath of God burns against them, there damnation does not slumber, the pit is prepared, the furnace is now hot, ready to receive them; the flames do now rage and glow. You talk about the fire and explosions in the movies those are tame examples of the real fire where those who choose to go to this other world to be the devils possession and for his dominion to reign over them for all eternity." They will continue to belong to him in constant pain and sorrow. There is no time in the burning fires of hell just forever. You and I were born for another world and that world is the ultimate choice in our life time. These earthly bodies will be a thing of the past. No matter if you have solid six pack abs or are racked with cancer in some hospital bed. Steps to entering the new eternal world of heaven. 1. We are all sinners and standing in judgement before a perfect God. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." All is All No amount religion or good works will save you. We all are in the same boat. Romans 3:10 " There is none righteous no not one." 2. God loves you with a love like no other and has given you a free will choice to enter a new world to be with Him for eternity. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish, but have eternal LIFE." God gave His Son Jesus to die a gruesome death on the cross to be buried and arise from the grave three days later, to conquer death. He took upon himself our sins willingly. He took your and my condemnation upon Himself. 3. God the Almighty, The creator of all, The all knowing God, and The perfect sinless God, has opened the door to the new world, heaven, for me and you. This is a gift, but a gift he does not force on anyone of us ...it is all choice. But like any gift , it becomes a gift; once you take it, it becomes yours. 4. Ask God to forgive you of your sins and repent. To believe is the only pre-requisite God places on us.. Believe what, you may ask? Believe God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins and he was placed in a sealed tomb and 3 days later, he arose from the dead and is now reigning in heaven (the other world) to prepare a place for those who believe, and soon He will return to gather up those believers to bring both the living and the dead into the new world. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who BELIEVE in His name." Which world will you choose?
