Actions And Attitudes Are Being Watched

People want to know you are real. We all are representing someone, an ideal or a belief. These beliefs range from one end of the spectrum to another. Some beliefs are in direct opposition to mine, but never the less deeply held. There is nothing more disconcerting to others than hypocrites. People with great admiration, talents and deeply held beliefs have sobered and have been swept from their pedestal because of living duel lives; saying one thing and living another. I can’t think of too many other things that will do more damage to a life, business, ministry or family. Sin is so destructive and we must take responsibility for our part in life’s messes. We need God’s grace and it is available to all. As Christian leaders, we are to live our lives congruent to God’s Word. We are to be a testament of our faith. We are to remain true even in the mess of life, and even if it is our own doing. How do we represent Christ? Authenticity is such an important aspect of our mission in life. The way we speak and act matches our internal being and the real you. I have observed many leaders “Using God” to build their empires. Business and ministries, and even governments have fallen throughout history because they forgot that the words must match actions. These leaders mouthed the right words, and even called upon God Himself. They showed a different life on and off stage. There was never time for church, personal Bible study or personal prayer time. God had become a tool rather than a relationship. It is interesting how those who do not know Him, love to use Him as a way to stand out as different and unique. They still don’t have the inward miracle themselves, but recognize that there is something different and that something different makes sense to use. They recognized total perfection and His ultimate love of mankind. They turn to Him for their personal standing and their climb up the ladder of success. Politicians have even used God to promote evil or to win elections. Ministry leaders have used God to buy a personal jet and lavish life style. Some business leaders have used God to endear people to their leadership and encourage purchases of whatever they are selling. Just reciting a Bible verse or a prayer from Mother Teresa can help sway the minds of people. I can’t tell you how many of our leaders today want Christians around them, even though they themselves choose to not love, honor or serve God’s Son Jesus. Note: This is a great opportunity open to Christians to mentor and build into the lives of others. The real is untimely, the accepted, the unreal leads to distrust, envy, and ultimately failure. James 2:8 says, “You have faith and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and will show you my faith by my works... even the demons believe and shudder...” Be careful, Romans 16:18 “Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people.” John 16:13 “When The Spirit Of Truth comes, he will guide you into all TRUTH ...” Authenticity keeps you humble and with authenticity as a focus of our lives, we can expect www.bbexcellentadventure.com, and great experiences with sustained growth, encouragement and success, along with frustration, pain and disappointment. Jesus himself promised, "In this world, you will have trials and tribulations, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world."
